Use this thread to introduce yourself to the rest of the forum. I'd start, but that information can already be found on the main site in the about section.

I'm Ellen, I found this webcomic through the PW ad on my webcomic's site. It captured my interest because I've never seen a comic take place at an abortion clinic before. (And I study over sixty comics a week. ) I think it has potential. I'm curious to see where it goes.

Hi, I'm Amy - I also found this through a Project Wonderful link - I am enjoying it so far, and don't think that the humor detracts from the seriousness at all (like you stated in one of the update posts). I am excited to follow :-)

Hi, I'm - well, I don't usually give out my name online, so I guess you can call me Partino. I found this comic through an ad on Dumbing of Age, and it looks really cool

Hi, I'm Qrayze (as in Crazy), but most ppl call me "Q". I also found the comic thru a PW ad on one of the webcomics I like to read. The ad intrigued me because even tho I used to be pro-life but am now pro-choice, there's still a lot of, well, re-education needing to happen in the ol' noggin. As it stands, I've never had an abortion, but after the birth of my daughter, (as in, as soon as I woke up from the anesthesia) I knew I didn't want to be pregnant again. ever. I'm glad this comic is focussing on all the aspects of this delicate topic. I look forward to reading more.

I'm Courtland, though I usually go by Court.
I found this comic through an ad, but it took me a few ads to realize how odd a concept it was. Also, having Star being... well Star on the ad and having a character react to her was what really sealed the deal. "Being pregnant while working for an abortion clinic" is the kind of ironic story I like, because it is still a valid point - you don't have to have an abortion just because you work at an abortion clinic. An intriguing story, lightened up with awkward humor.
I'm generally quiet, so I'll tend to just observe, but the last time I didn't introduce myself in a forum I lost interest, so I figured I'd try something new.

Hello! I'm Shine.
if posts are moderated, which is quite likely, this post is a duplicate. if not, then... not.
I found this comic through a Project Wonderful ad. Abortion is a pretty big deal to me. Actually, it's a big deal in that it's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
I worked at an abortion clinic as a purchaser. Sitting in on an abortion counseling appointment and procedure, making appointments, and examining POC were all part of training for any position, regardless of how often we touched anything other than paper supplies. The woman whose abortion I sat in on, who I fell in love with almost immediately, was a refugee. No one talks about women who seek asylum from countries that don't allow them bodily autonomy.
During my time there, for reasons entirely unrelated to *where* I was working, I decided that I wanted to have a baby. This effort was unsuccessful for a couple of years. I had to work through a lot of frustration at these women who didn't even want to be pregnant, as if I could turn someone else's uterus in to mine.
Several years later, following congestive heart failure and, by extension, brain damage due to a previously undetected congenital heart defect, I finally conceived. At that time, I was told that I absolutely should not carry the pregnancy.
But I wanted this baby so badly. And she's potty training right now, sitting on the toilet playing with her VTech cell phone. I had a tubal sterilization with the Essure device, and so I don't have to risk another potentially fatal pregnancy.
There was no debate as to whether I should have my heart surgery. When my gall bladder failed shortly after that, no one treated it as if anyone's body but my own would be affected. The pregnancy, though-- that was murder. I was dealing with someone's else's body, even though carrying the pregnancy was riskier than keeping the hole in my heart or the dying organ.
I am happy with my decision. I'm even more happy that it was mine to make.

I'm joining the forum rather late. I've been following "With Fetus" for a few years now and have commented on several occasions. Don't know why I never joined the forum before. But I'm here now. (Unless I joined before but have forgotten ... ) I'm a police dispatcher and have been for almost 30 years now. I'm also a Tarot reader, amateur photographer and a bird-watcher. Oh, and a huge Pokémon fan (currently playing Omega Ruby).
