Suspension of disbelief hyper-extended.
How could a mother dismiss her daughter's death as "something medical"? Don't we all die of something medical? Wouldn't this mother, who obviously loves her daughters a great deal, want to know exactly what happened and what could have been done to prevent it?

hmm... i guess i was a bit careless with my choice of words. i merely wanted to demonstrate that lillian's limited medical knowledge does not logically draw the conclusion theresa must have had a botched abortion, unlike dr. gregory's medical background. but i will be revisiting this plot quite a bit which hopefully will make lillian's attitude make a bit more sense.
